Italy Destination Wedding

For some couples their dream of a destination  wedding never becomes reality. The reason is that some couples just don't know where to start, they think it would be too difficult to plan and so get themselves into a panic and decide that staying closer to home is the easier option. Planning a wedding can be stressful and there's no doubt that planning a destination wedding comes with its own set of challenges. The truth is a destination wedding is not that much different to planning your UK wedding and once you are informed with all the right information you need then the planning can be very straight forward.

There could be many reasons why you have always dreamt of a destination wedding. You and your partner may have a love of travelling, it could be one of the beautiful destinations that you have travelled to in the past, one of the very first destinations that you had travelled to together as a couple, where you got engaged, or maybe you just want to escape to have a small intimate wedding with just immediate family and friends.

The thought of planning a destination wedding can be very daunting, making you feel confused and the not knowing where to even begin can make you feel overwhelmed!.
If you are planning on a destination wedding then I would highly advise you to hire a wedding planner about 12- 18 months in advance. It is important to either hire a wedding planner that knows the location or specializes in destination weddings. There will be many questions that you will want to know and by hiring a wedding planner they will know everything that you need to know. They will also know which suppliers to use and will be able to contact them for you and arrange everything. Sometimes with having the language barrier this can be a blessing. That's the beauty of hiring a wedding planner, you tell them what you want and they turn your dreams into reality. Your wedding planner will be there for you every step of the way,  listening to how you vision your wedding day and making sure that everything runs according to plan. Their job is to plan your wedding day exactly how you want, your way.

Rosa Aqua Weddings have kindly shared a beautiful, fairytale wedding in Italy that they had the pleasure of  planning.

Aurela and Andrew married on 6th September 2018 in Italy at the stunning and luxurious 19th century villa with breathtaking views of Lake Como. It really was the perfect setting for a fairytale wedding. They wanted a small and intimate wedding in Italy.

There is something so special about Italy, to me it's such a romantic destination to have your wedding.
Just look at these magnificent views, I can not think of a better back drop for your photographs.

Lake Como is in Northern Italy's Lombardy region, an area well know for its dramatic scenery, set against the foothills of the Alps. It is such a beautiful and very picturesque location.

Aurela and Andrew had a very intimate and romantic celebration with close friends and family. The couple travelled all way from Canada and their guests from various countries. You can see why they choose this location, it's just magical!.

Aurela looked incredibly stunning in her ceremony dress, just like a fairytale princess.
Aurela had five bridesmaids. They looked amazing in their blush pink dresses. There colour theme was blush pink, white and gold.

I love this image of Aurela and Andrew standing in the grand doorway of the historic villa. At first you are wowed by the magnificent building and then you notice the backdrop with the most incredible views. It really is breath taking. So romantic!.

Look how pretty this image is. It looks like something you would see in the movies. The decor looks amazing, the lighting and the flowers. It's perfect!.

I think there is something so special about having a small intimate wedding with close family and friends. What better way than saying 'I do' in romantic Italy.

5 Things To Discuss When You're Newly Engaged! By My Guest Blogger Guides For Brides

5 Things To Discuss When You're Newly Engaged

Congratulations, you’re engaged! Before you start to pin wedding dress pictures or visit venues, it’s important to sit down with your other half to discuss a few important issues. When wedding planning, you need to be on the same page and working towards the same vision, so Guides for Brides have listed the top five things to discuss before you put any money down...

The Guest List

Sit down together and make a list of the family and friends you’d like at the service, again there is loads of print off guest lists online, choose who you’d like to be there on the

The Dress

Choosing the perfect fairytale dress can be stressful! The good news is there are thousands of them to choose from, so eventually you will find the one. I've been married twice, yes twice! and I know first

The Wedding Budget

Money is never a good subject to talk about in a relationship but unfortunately it's a must when planing your big day and should be the first thing on your list.

Choosing The Venue

When it comes to getting married, the place you choose to do it is just as important as the dress, your guest list and even the rings you choose. As well as being the backdrop to all of your photographs, the venue of the ceremony should represent you and your partner’s personalities.

Wedding Hair Inspiration!

What Hair Style will you choose for your wedding day?
If your looking for wedding hair inspiration then your on the right page!. I think we all have a image

The Younger Guests!

Weddings are all about family so for those that have a large family will most likely have relatives with children or maybe you have children yourself, if that is the case then having children attend your wedding is a must. You may of course not want children at your wedding and if that is the case then you need to make sure that you let the parents know when sending out the wedding invitations, I have done a post all about your wedding invitations.

2019 Wedding Dress Trends!

The traditional white bridal dress will always be around but designers are now looking through the eyes of every woman to make every individual brides dream come true so they can have their perfect fairytale wedding dress. With so many different designs to choose from, there will be a dress you fall in love with!

Wedding Favours

Traditionally five sugar almonds were given as favours to represent fertility, longevity, wealth, health and happiness. The bitterness of the almond and the sweetness of the coated candy are a metaphor for the bitter sweetness of a marriage. Well today it's all changed!

Bridal Hair

Deciding on which hairstyle you want for your special day all comes down to the style dress you choose and of course the theme of your wedding (if you have one that is). I choose a vintage style dress and my venue was in a Victorian manor so the hairstyle I choose went with my style dress and venue.

Wedding Invitation

I would advise you to get your invitations sent out 12 months in advance or as soon as you have a date booked for your wedding, especially if your wedding is in the summer months. Letting your guests know as early as possible will give them a chance to clear their calendars, make necessary travel arrangements and plan around your wedding date. If you don't want to send out the invitations that early then another option is a save the date card, which I think is a great idea, you can send out your invitations when your ready then, although I wouldn't leave it too close to the date as guests will also have their planning to do too, I would say no later than 12 weeks in advance if you are doing it that way.

Your wedding photos will be yours to keep for the rest of your life and to share with family and friends memories of your special day!

The Cake

You may want to choose a cake design that goes with the theme of your wedding or you may know exactly what cake you want, which was the case for me. After looking online at different cake designs I spotted  the cake we wanted, we then went to our local bakers that specialises in wedding cakes and they surprisingly had the almost identical cake displayed in their shop window that I had seen online, it was meant to be!. We had decided on a Castle design cake, although we didn't get married in a Castle I had fell in love with that design when we had seen it online. When we visited the bakery and I seen it displayed in the window that was it it, I had to have that one!. It's funny isn't it, you just know what's right for you, the same with the dress, venue, the flowers etc... you just know.
