Bridal Hair Accessories

Choosing your bridal hair accessory is another important decision you will need to make.

Your hair accessory is what will finish off your look, compliment your hair and dress and is what will bring your whole bridal look together.

There are so many gorgeous hair accessories that you can choose from now,  such as hair pins and clips, hair vines, headbands, combs, flowers and veils etc. With such a large choice, it certainly doesn't make your decision an easy one!

If you haven't already decided on your bridal hairstyle then I would advise you to arrange an appointment with your hair stylist. Your hair stylist can then experiment with a few different hairstyles that you like. Once you have had your appointment with the hairstylist you will hopefully know what hairstyle you will be having, or at least know whether you'll be wearing your hair up or down. This is important to know when choosing your hair accessory.

Take into consideration the colour of metal you choose. Will you be wearing jewellery? Maybe gold, rose gold or silver? If so then make sure your hair accessory matches. Gold jewellery will not go with a silver or rose gold hair accessory.

The style of your dress will of course set the style for your overall look. Depending on the hairstyle you have chosen will also help determine what hair accessory you will choose. Your dress, hair, jewellery, shoes and hair accessory should all compliment each other.

The best way to find your perfect hair accessory is to go online and search lots of images! You can take a look on Pinterest, Instagram etc until you find the design and style that you would like. It's also a good idea to try on lots of different designs, so make your way to the many boutiques that supply bridal hair accessories.
Once you have found the style of the hair accessory that you would like, it will make your job a lot easier.

VINTAGE HEADPIECES

We will start with vintage, just because it's my favourite! Whether you are going for the Gatsby 1920's glamorous and sophisticated look or rocking the elegant and feminine  1950's, Liberty In Love have the most stunning headpieces for any era to complete your look.

HAIR VINES

Hair Vines are very popular and so versatile. You will find a design to suit any hairstyle. You can bend and shape them to work with your chosen hairstyle, which makes them the perfect choice for almost any hairstyle you choose.

HAIR PINS & CLIPS

Hair pins and clips are a great choice for the bride that wants to add that little simple accent to their bridal hair. If your dress has quite a lot of detailing such as crystals and pearls etc then hair pins are a great way of adding a touch of sparkle to your hair, without going too over the top so your dress will still stand out. They can be easily placed into hair buns, up-do's, or in beautiful flowing curls.

HEAD BANDS

Head bands are perfect for any bridal hairstyle, long or short. I choose a head band when I got married. They are so easy to fix into place and feel secure.

HAIR COMBS

Hair Combs are another versatile hair accessory. I would personally say they suit up-do's better. The comb needs to be pushed into the hair and it needs to feel secure. Tucked into a hair bun or half up hairstyle is perfect.

VEILS

I do love veils, they look so beautiful, cut from pretty tulle and lace fabric.
Did you know that the veil is one of the oldest parts of a bridal ensemble, dating as far back as the Greek and Roman times. The veil was used to hide the bride 'from evil spirits who may want to thwart her happiness' or to frighten the spirits away. The veil was also used to hide the bride's face away from the groom, it was said to be bad luck for the groom to see his bride before the ceremony. Well, haven't times changed!
Birdcage veils are absolutely gorgeous and really add the glamorous, sophisticated look to your vintage inspired style.
You can wear veils in many different ways and they come in different sizes and lengths. I would advise you to try on the different styles to see which one suits you best, and of course which one feels right.

HAIR FLOWERS

Pretty hair flowers are perfect for the bo-ho or festival bride who is going for the more relaxed and natural hairstyle. You will find them in beautiful silk fabrics detailed with pearls and crystals. If you really want to go natural then opt for real flowers.
