The Wedding Rings!

Wedding ring shopping is so exciting!
I just love this part, It gives you and your partner some fun time together. I would recommend buying your rings about 3-5 months prior to your wedding day, this gives you plenty of time to
browse the shops and find them perfect rings and also if you need any alterations done. Of course choosing your Wedding rings will be one of the most important decisions you will make, so don't get too carried away and choose the first ring that you try on.
You will obviously have a budget for your wedding rings so try sticking to it, it is very hard when trying on all those stunning rings and the last thing you want to do is go over your budget and leave yourself short for the rest of your wedding planning, keep your head screwed on and dont get too caught up in the moment, it's easily done, believe me!.

Take your time browsing and trying on different designs, you want to make sure that the wedding ring you choose is right, this is the ring that you are going to be wearing for the rest of your life and looking at every day.  Making sure that your rings suit your lifestyles is again something you will want to bear in mind.
It may be that your engagement ring offers a matching wedding ring, which is perfect or it may be that you don't want to match your engagement ring but choose something completely different. You and your partner may want matching rings or maybe not. What ever you decide the decision is yours, you go with what your happy with.
Another decision that you will need to make is the type of metal, there is platinum, palladium, white gold, yellow gold and rose gold ?. You may want to match your engagement ring colour or you may want something different. Your partner may want to choose a different colour metal to what you want, don't stress, that is fine.  To help you out I have listed each metal below, it's good to know what your rings are made of before you start shopping around.

Platinum

The rarest of all available metals but its the strongest, whitest and the most durable. It delivers consistent shine without the need for rhodium plating and has a beautiful glow. excellent resistance to corrosion and a hypoallergenic nature.

Palladium

The groom tends to go for Palladium. Its is a member of the platinum family but 1/3 of the cost. It delivers a dark grey shine which is not found in other metals which gives it a classy look. resistant to corrosion, hypoallergenic properties and consistent to shine.

White Gold

White gold is a metal alloy of yellow gold mixed with white metal to deliver shine comparable to platinum. Rhodium plating is required every couple of years to maintain its shine and this can cost up to £50.

Rose Gold

I love rose gold, I remember when I was younger and my Mum had a beautiful rose gold necklace, I was always amazed by its colour and still today it doesn't go out of fashion. Rose gold is made using a mixture of gold, copper and silver alloys, it delivers that gorgeous pink/red hue. 18ct rose gold is lighter in colour than 9ct gold as 9ct rose gold contains a lot more copper.

Yellow Gold

Yellow gold is mixed with other metal alloys such as zinc and copper. Yellow gold looks lovely on people with warm skin tones. It needs to be polished regularly to retain its shine and can be more prone to dents and scratches.
